Meet the Founder
Joyce Vandenberg · Keeper of the Inner Light
I wasn’t always “spiritual.” I wish I could say I arrived here gracefully — but that would be a lie and a missed opportunity, because this is where the magic lives.
For many years, I worked in IT as a developer and consultant in Manhattan and on Wall Street — deep in the world of deadlines, hustle, pressure, and performance. After 9/11, something shifted. I could no longer ignore the quiet call toward something more.
My first awakening came during an online meditation retreat with Mandy Morris and Oliver (The Spiritual Activator). A door opened — soon after, I volunteered for The Inspire Nation Show with Michael Sandler, surrounded by teachers and mystics… still searching for my purpose.
I became a Certified Reiki Master, studied Galactic Astrology, and reconnected with sacred wisdom traditions. Through meditation and presence, I didn’t just learn something — I remembered something. I remembered my own inner flame.
During a session with Caroline Mitchell — The Original Dragon Lady — her Dragon Guides shared a message that felt like coming home: “You are part of a mission connected to Mars and Sedona — a restoration of memory and the original flame.” It wasn’t a task. It was a remembrance.
Lumenara Rising is a sanctuary for seekers returning to their inner light. My mission is to guide others in remembering who they truly are — because when one person remembers, the world brightens.
